Guana Cay , Abaco, Bahamas — With very little wind but much enthusiasm, the Sail Away was huge success! Crowds from all over Abaco showed up to participate in the yearly beach party hosted at Baker’s Bay. Actual sail boats were scarce considering how calm it was on the Sea of Abaco that day. But motor-boaters took advantage of the warm, tranquil weather and cruised in to the Northern point of Guana Cay for the afternoon. The pristine beach was bustling with children, teens and people pretending to be teens as they came together to enjoy a wonderful day celebrating fun in the way islanders do. James Malone’s Fire & the Goat Peppers DJ division kept the party dancing in the water as well on shore. It may have been flat calm everywhere else that day, but the Baker’s Bay beach was bustling with fun. Food, drinks, T-shirts and hats were available to the attendees, with proceeds benefiting “Every Child Counts” & “Friends of the Environment.”
