Exciting news from Bluff House Beach Resort & Marina! We are continuing to grow and have added key personnel and exciting new changes for 2015.
Steve Riely has been appointed our new General Manager. Steve brings with him more than 15 years of international resort management experience including a Preferred Boutique Resort, a Conde Nast Top 50 Small Hotel, and several awardwinning properties. His experience in the Bahamas includes Club Med Resorts on Paradise Island, Eleuthera, and San Salvador as well as General Manager of UNEXSO on Grand Bahama. Steve’s
commitment to guest services and excellence has created a new enthusiasm at Bluff House and we welcome his leadership.
Bluff House welcomes back Bahamian Fiona Bootle, a familiar face to many Green Turtle Cay regulars over the years from her previous days as Assistant Manager at Bluff House. Fiona is our new Food & Beverage Manager and oversees the Tranquil Turtle Beach Bar and the Jolly Roger Bar & Bistro. Bluff House’s new Executive Chef, Dominic Floyd, comes to us from Twisted Lime restaurant in Nassau. “Chef Dom” is also a
former Head Chef of Treasure Cay Resort and Marina. With Dom comes the unveiling of a new menu and new restaurant name, “Ballyhoo Bar & Grill” (formerly known as the Jolly Roger Bar & Bistro.) Dom brings an exceptional sense of culinary knowledge and creativity to Ballyhoo and the popular
Tranquil Turtle Beach Bar. We invite you to join us and share in our passion for good food and good hospitality!
Many events and special menu nights are in the works for this season. Every Tuesday is Surf & Turf Night with Live Music at the Marina, and on Thursdays we offer a special Pizza and Pasta menu. Ballyhoo is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week with exceptional, fresh seafood dishes. For fun, food, and drinks, join us every day at the Tranquil Turtle Beach Bar for Happy Hour and on Saturdays for our Saturday Sunset Party.
The ever popular Sunday Fish Fry on the beach is now in full swing. Follow us on Facebook for our latest Special Events Calendar, including our Full Moon Party, our Wine Dinners, and Rum Fest. Stacy Phillips, Bluff House’s Wedding Coordinator, continues to oversee weddings and
special events as she has done so successfully in the past. Bluff House’s two unique restaurants provide great options for birthday and anniversary celebrations, private dining on the beach, Bonfire Beach Parties and, of course, “Special Destination Weddings.”
Bluff House’s Low Tide Boutique, provides a fashion experience to shoppers who want tropical resort wear, jewelry, gifts and accessories thanks to the talented Joanne Feinstein who oversees purchasing of the shop’s merchandise and presenting fashion couture events and our annual must-see fashion show. Plans are in the works to add additional hotel rooms adjacent to the present room location. All suites enjoy panoramic Sea of Abaco views and easy access to our large, white-sand beach. Development and sales of additional of homes on the resort’s 12 acre site are in the
planning stages.
