“Artist and a Lighthouse”

The Abaco Inn turned into SOHO during its limited “Artist and a Lighthouse” gallery opening on the night of November 26th. Renowned coastal artist Kim Rody was featured at the pop up gallery opening to launch her limited edition Christmas ornaments as well as showcase her original paintings, dinnerware and table top accessories. It was a fabulous affair, the wonderful crowd was delighted to view her beautiful collections while they sipped prosecco and dined on delicious hors d’oeuvres. Those in attendance were also treated to music played by the accomplished jazz musician Wilner throughout the night. The evening was a wonderful success with many originals Rody works as well as many Christmas ornaments were sold to an enthusiastic crowd. A portion of the proceeds from the night close to $7,000 will go to the Elbow Reef Lighthouse Society to help with renovation in keeping our iconic landmark bright. The Elbow Reef Lighthouse, originally built in 1864, is one of the most recognizable landmarks in all of the Bahamas and every dollar raised helps restore it and helps to make sure the light stays on for many years to come. Kim Rody’s limited edition Coastal Christmas Ornaments are now available for purchase at the gift shop – Abaco Inn, Elbow Cay. Part of the proceeds will continue to support the Elbow Reef Lighthouse.
