A direct descendant of the founder of Hope Town Settlement, Vernon is the proprietor of Vernon’s Grocery. He is also a Minister at the Methodist Church, where he conducts services. Friday, July 3rd Vernon conducted his 900th wedding at the Hummingbird Cottage Art Centre and Gallery for Benjamin Arthur Lewis and Danielle Coons of Oxford, NC.
